T-5: Calling All Traders - Break the Rules!

T-5: Calling all Traders!

What we (want to) do

Season 1.1 - Target Identified.
Almost sold out!
On May 25th, 2013 - International Towel Day - we announced the shipping of our first ever Paintingbuddha DVD set: "Season 1.1 - Target Identified" which started shipping later in July.

The value the DVD set offered was unparalleled and the Quality of the Product convinced our 'Bruddhas' (our term of endearment for supporters of all genders) to vote Painting Buddha as the 'WAMP - Best New Company 2013' - a title that we carry proudly and that motivates us to do even better ever since.

Season 1.1 was shipped to all continents except Antarctica (stoopid Penguins! :D)

Yesterday we announced the upcoming shipping of our newest DVD sets: "Season 1.2 - Freehands and Banners" and "Season 1.3 - Base Alchemy Volume 1: Earth".

By pre-ordering until July 6th, you can save some money on our 'Early Beard' specials plus secure some free gimmicks, including a free 28mm Collector Edition miniature called "Randalf Streisand".

While visiting events worldwide from Moscow to Memphis (such as all Games Days in 2013, Spring Angel, Euromilitaire, Hussar, Monte San Savino, ..) we analysed all entries and found two areas to be most beneficial to all painters out there: Freehands & Bases

We believe that Season 1.2 and 1.3 are a 'must have' for everyone who is serious about miniature painting - regardless of whether they are gamers or competitive painters.

And since building bases is such an important subject, we plan a 5-part series starting with 'Earth' in Season 1.3, followed by 'Wind', 'Fire', 'Water' and ultimately 'Iron' (man-made).

42% community,
16% charity,
42% re-investment
Y we do it

From the very start we aimed at 'rewriting the rules'. We love our hobby and we want to grow it for the benefit of everyone.

We don't want to fight for a slice of a shrinking cake - we want more and bigger cakes for everyone!

Maximizing profits is something that we don't care about - our goal is to be a company that works for everyone in the community: Gamers, painters, collectors, manufacturers, retailers and even our competitors.

In short: A company that works for everyone - and for you!

Even though we are a start-up ourselves, we love to support and promote other start-ups whenever we can: Creature Caster, Don't Panic Games (Drakerys), Infamy, The Chilling Wargamers, Hangar 18, Heroes & Villains, Sergeant Blackart, Scale 75/Scale Games, Bloggers (like Volomir & Julien Casses), Vloggers (like DizzyAngelDemon) and painters - just to name a few. The list goes on and on (and on).

In this spirit of cooperation we have made many friends and established partnerships for current and upcoming projects. We are having a lot of fun, even if we don't always like the 'rules' that the miniature industry and in particular the 'big fishes' are currently playing by.

Independent Retailers: The Heart of the Hobby

With Operation Infinite Improbability Drive we here at Painting Buddha will attempt to break the rules of our industry. And we want to start at the heart of our hobby: Independent Retailers.

Many, if not most of us, got into the hobby after visiting a local retail business. I know I have.

For some nerds too much to bear:
An awesome hobby store like Battlefield Berlin.
Being able to see and play with miniatures is what inspires young and old nerds alike - at the local hobby store we are all just miniature nerds. And we at Painting Buddha want to work with interested retailers to help them grow their business.

We have some rather insane ideas about the distribution of our products - with the goal to make them more accessible, cheaper for everyone and first and foremost to encourage our Bruddhas to visit their 'friendly local gaming store' (FLGS).

We want to support local independent retailers.

Do you have what it takes?

One of the core decisions we have made is that we only want to supply brick-and-mortar stores. We will not sell through online-only businesses (sorry...)

We are looking for independent retailers who would be interested in shaping our trade-terms with us. If you are interested to break the rules, you have come to the right place!

We hope that many friends and partners will follow our example and copy or adapt the rules we develop together! And we would love to grow together!

Service Guarantees Citizenship

With 'Operation Infinite Improbability Drive' just a few days away, more details will emerge. As part of this operation, we will reveal (some of) our plans for 2014 and beyond and we would like everybody's input on what we can do for all of you.

So, if you are a retailer, we would love to hear from you. Let's talk! We plan to have our first draft of our trading terms put into action by the end of July.

If you are a Bruddha and you have a favorite local hobby store, why not Share & Enjoy this post with them? ;)

Would you like to know more?

Retailers can contact us at this email address. Also, you will find me and our page on Facebook. You are further invited to talk to me via Skype (username: paintingbuddha).

We will also have a couple of Beeble・Babbles (our live-stream talk show) on this and other subjects of Operation Infinite Improbability Drive in the weeks to come.

Interested Retailers & Bruddhas alike are invited to join us on our new Facebook-Group "Bruddhahood Network: Traders" - a temporary page that has been exclusively created for our discussion on breaking the rules. After assembling the troops, we'll start drafting away after the World Expo next weekend.

It's going to be crazy. It's going to be fun. Minds will be blown. Universes will be turned upside down. And there will be cake. Well... maybe the cake is a lie...

Having said that, I guess it is time to...

SHARE & ENJOY

  2. Packers and Movers Faridabad
Moving house requires knowledge on moving a variety of items, not the least among them being your furniture. Furniture removal is a tough job, but only because it offers physical challenges. If you plan it well enough and then you are careful with the execution, then the physical side of the removals will be the only thing you will have to deal with. Good planning makes for easy furniture moving and here is how to organise your relocation so that you waste the least amount of effort on moving furniture
